Tuscany was supposed to be our perfect summer getaway. Lea had planned the trip with two friends, and everyone’s boyfriend came along. We imagined sunshine, warm weather, a pool, and a jacuzzi – everything you picture when thinking of a relaxing summer holiday in Italy.

But when we arrived, everything was covered in meters of snow. Instead of a summer trip, it suddenly felt like a winter holiday. So we switched to plan B and explored nearby cities like Florence, Rimini, Perugia, Bologna and Ravenna. In the end, it turned into a very different but still beautiful trip.
